Girls Night In!

Hoy estuvo mi amiga Paola en la casa nueva, vino a conocerla y aproveché para practicar mis skills en el stamping. Me encanta cuando la gente me deja practicar, porque así me perfecciono y cada vez las cosas quedan mejor. Para ella, utilizamos 2 stampings distintos, y en mis uñas trate de emular las uñas de otra bloggera que sigo, Nicole de Polish Me, Please, ya uds verán el input de c/manicure al final. También hoy contamos con la compañía de Bella, La Cocker, la cual hizo gala de su peor comportamiento, se llevó el algodón, la acetona, se acostó encima de nosotros, nos movía la mesa mientras trataba de pintarle las uñas a Paola y ahora mientras escribo esto duerme tranquilamente sobre mis piernas. Tienen mascotas? Se portan bien? No se trata de almorzar sus esmaltes?

Tonight, my friend Paola came to visit our new place and I seize the opportunity to practice and improve my stamping skills. I love when people let me practice in their nails, because I can get better at it. For her nails, we used 2 different types of stamping and in my nails, I tried to do a jelly sandwich I saw on Nicole from Polish Me, Please’s blog, you will see my input at the end. Also, we had the company of Bella, La Cocker (my dog), who was behaving like a crazy pet, she pull out from the bag all the cotton I have for removing the polish, then she run away with the polish remover, then she lay down on us, theen she was moving the table while trying to get Paola’s nail done and NOW that I’m trying to write this down, she is sleeping like  a little angel over my legs. Do you have pets? Do they behave? Don’t they try to eat your polish?

Productos usados en las uñas de Paola \ What we used on Paola’s nails:

• Sally Hansen Double Duty
• Darosa White Polish (31)
• Darosa Purple
• Vogue Chicle
• Extreme White (for the plates)

Para mis uñas utilizamos \ For my nails we used:

• Sally Hansen Double Duty
• Masglo Exitosa
• Sephora by OPI Traffic-Stopper Copper
• Sally Hansen Acrylic Coat

Para las uñas de Paola, primero hicimos una base con SH DD, luego pase 2 capas de cada uno de los esmaltes de darosa de acuerdo a los colores en las uñas. Esperamos un rato a que secara y entonces hicimos el imprint de las placas. Es la primera vez desde que comencé a usar las placas que funcionan bien al primer intento, me tomó super poco tiempo y creo que he mejorado. Acá no se pueden conseguir los esmaltes de Konad, hay que ordenarlos, pero creo que los de Vogue son una excelente opción. El «Extreme» que utilicé me pone contenta, porque es un esmalte que tengo hace 4 años y AÚN funciona a la perfección. YAY. Finalizamos con una capa del acrylic coat.

For Paola’s nails, first, I applied one coat of SH DD and the 2 coats of Darosa’s polishes according to the color into the nails.We waited  a while until the nails were completely dried and then we did the imprint. This is the first time since I started using the plates that everything worked in the first try, it didn’t take  me awhile and I think I’m getting better at it. Getting the Konad polishes here is impossible, I have to order everything online, but so far Vogue polishes has been the perfect option. The «Extreme» polish I used to imprint the strawberries made me happy, I have had this polish for more than for years and it’s still perfect. YAY. To finish this mani, we applied one coat of the acrylic coat.

Para mis uñas, primero la base de SH DD, luego una capa de Masglo Exitosa seguida de una capa de SOPI Traffic-Stopper Copper por uña (o sea, una capa seguida de la otra sin esperar que se secara) en toda la mano y luego repetí la operación 3 veces. No me gustó como quedó, no sé si fue la combinación de colores, no sé si la últma capa de escarchado debió haber ido acompañada de otra capa de Masglo en vez del acrylic coat. No lo sé. Simplemente, me hace falta un poco más de practica y espero que la próxima vez salga algo mejor.

For my nails, first I applied one coat of SH DD, then one coat of Masglo Exitosa followed immediately of one coat of SOPI Traffic-Stopper Copper on each nail, then I repeated it 3 times. I didn’t like the result, I’m not sure if it was the color combination or of the last coat of glitter should have had another top coat of Masglo Exitosa instead of the acrylic coat. I don’t know. I think I need more practice to get these type of things done. I hope next time it looks better.
